Hello folks.
I have a Daewoo Nexia.
My battery was weak so I had to take it out to charge it up and when I pulled on the handle to open the hood, I noticed I needed to pull a bit harder than usual. So far, so good.
The problem is, when I slammed the hood down, it wouldn't stay closed
And I have no idea whatsoever how the closing mechanism work, can't find any photo of it, I suspect that, when I pull the handle, the cable got blocked or something because the handle (inside the car) seems to be stuck in the "open position".
Does anyone have any idea how the locking system works ?
I haven't seen any lose parts like screws or springs around or under my car ...
Thanks for your help.
My apologies if I posted in the wrong forum.
Help ! My hood doesn't close anymore

it is kinda simple latch mechanism... most probably it is stuck due to dirt or rust... give it a nice shower of WD 40 and see what happens.
don't go too hard on the handle as it might break or the cable might snap.
