reading wht this thread has dished out... i got a few questions:
http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7558
1- what is the biggest spacer you can safly use on a lanos with OEM lugs/bolts?
2- what is the effect on handling if you used spacers on only the front wheels?
3- what is the effect on handling if you used spacers on only the rear wheels?
4- what is the effect on handling if you used spacers on all four wheels?

i used spacers but never really got into the measurements and stuff. all i know is is if you get spacers just to widen the stance of the car and you don't have fitment issues with rims or what not it just gives you better traction and roll stability. as for on just front or rear i don't think it matters unless you ahve it on all four.

save a tree, eat a beaver.
when i asked some friends they said that widning just the front will make the rear too jumpy... seems logical as the front is better balanced with the spacers and that allows you to push the car harder in corners.
if you widen the rear it will be more stable at corners and the rear will have less tendancy to lose traction and slide... this mod won't do much to a car with inherent understeer as you don't have the front grip to allow you to push it that hard in the first place.
indeed the 4 wheels option is always better for all the way upgrade... using front or rear only option might be good for fixing inherent oversteer/understeer on some cars but precise calculations must be done before doing that.
also i was told that spacers will put more load on the suspension parts as well as the bearings as the wheels are now exserting bigger force on those parts due to the longer torque arm.
anyone got comments or anything more to add?

I think just 5mm furthur out and you wont even notice. i drive pretty spirted on the street and use 5mm spacers on the rear for street use and have to use them on the front with my track wheels to clear my brakes. Dont notice a different.MMamdouh wrote:when i asked some friends they said that widning just the front will make the rear too jumpy... seems logical as the front is better balanced with the spacers and that allows you to push the car harder in corners.

I hardly thing using spacers to balance a cars oversteer or understeer is a good solution. You'd be better off playing with the suspension adjustments and whatnot.
