Hey everyone. I am thinking of buying a set of King Springs for my Cielo Sedan (30mm lowered springs). I recently replaced the rear shock absorbers as I got them pretty cheaply off ebay, however the front shocks seem to be very expensive to find in Australia (e.g over $200 AU for both). If i just replaced the springs, would I really need to change the front shocks? Idealy i'd like to but I don't really want to have to spend that much on front shocks alone. My front shocks are in pretty good condition I think (very little bouncing when pushed) but I would like to lower the car to improve handling a bit.
Any advice would be great!
Do shocks have to be changed with springs?

associating shocks and springs replacment - IMO - is a cost reduction issue in countries where labour is expensive... for me i replace whichever part is worn and just let the other parts be.
i recently replaced all my 4 shocks but the springs were not replaced so in your case i think you only need to replace the shocks if the are worn... you said the rear ones are newly replaced and the front are in a good condition so i don't see why you would have to replace them.
always remeber that shocks are a consumable and eventually will need replacment... if the front ones are old - as old as the previous rear set of shocks - then most probably they are going to die soon, if labour is too expensive i say go for a change but if my assumptions are wrong then you are OK with just the new springs.
