reflector thingy
what does the reflector thing do inside the headlight? what difference would it make if you took it out, would the headlight be brighter or dimmer? i know it reflects the light back ot the rear lense , but why not let the light just go straight out?
thanks for any response.

it won't make it brighter as you are reflecting the same amount of light the bulb is producing... it will just be more spread all over the road in a random way, kinda like having an unattended fire hose... you will get a total mess.

and to add the point
thats what causes your cut off, with basical causes the beam patter to be pointed down, it's all in a parabolic reflector (you though learning that stuff in school was crap) and the high beam is just hitting it at a diffrent angle.
you can take it out only if you had fluked head light covers.
