I think I just had an epileptic fit...

I'd say it's possible through use of a kit you'd get from an electronics store, but very much doubt the legality.

I saw that on a Crovette once, so there has to be a kit out there somewhere, unless the guy made the timer himself with a programmable chip to control the timing.
