see my problem is that i'm afraid i might hit it too hard and it'll bend the quarter panel showing. maybe i can put like a wedge of wood to hit it against.

it is going to be tricky but doable... don't rush it or you will damage the fender, just easy all the way and you can do it cleanly.

My friend who owns the paint and body shop has a hydrolic clamp that will squeeze and roll the lip. Where the clamp fits on the outside of the card, there is a curved flat plate that spreads the load so the outside of the body does not bend. He puts cardboard or cloth between the plate and the tool so the paint does not get marks or scratches.

If the weather is good on Thrusday, I am going in the morinig. If it rains on Thrusday, then I am going on Saturday.

Time to buy new tires!!
You guys saw what happened to my last set of tires because my alignment was so far off. LOL

I have used metal baseball covered with plastic to roll the fender. You use the tire as a pivot point, and slowly roll back and forth with a little force. This way, you could bend the fender by about a third of an inch without damaging the paint. The slower one bends the fender, the better the chance paint will not crack. I suggested doing that in about 20C (70F) temperature.
