Rims for S1 Nubira Wagon

Post by ReMiX »

Hey guys,

I've got a '98 S1 Nubira wagon and i'm looking at rims..

I've been looking at 18x7.5 and 17x7.0/5

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with larger rims on a Nubira? What's the largest i can go?
Obviously they are 4x100, but some people say 38-40 offset, some say more..?

the front hasnt been lowered at all yet, the rear is dumped thanks to 200+ kg of stereo..

If anyone can help and has any info for me, that'd be awesome! :D

i know in NSW you can only go 2' bigger and 2' wider by law. So if the largest factory option wheel on a nubira was a 15' x 6' for example, the biggest you could go would be a 17'x 8'. Check the RTA site for the WA laws on rims and tyres

Yeh, not really fussed about legality.. The stereo isnt legal, the exhaust isnt legal, the turbo isnt legal, The tint isnt legal, I dare say the airbags wont be legal when/if they go in..

Thanks for the input, but the legality of it isnt what i'm worried about .. I just dont feel like major inner guard mods to a car that's my daily driver/SPL beast

If i'm not mistaken, stock offset is 49... so you better get as close to it as possible.

Off set will change with the width of the wheel. Better to base measurements of "back spacing" to get the best fitment.
