Bigger wheels for Nubira II, how to ?

it means they bend your inner arch to accomodate for bigger wheels. its a common thing to get done and it works

Another question guys: is the ABS or others being affected by putting bigger wheels - I mean what are the negative sides of putting bigger wheels ?

Even if the wheel weights the same there is more of the mass further out which will hurt your accel and maybe your braking

The standard wheels for Nubira - the manual sais - are 185x65 R14 or 195x55 R15.

I'm tempted to put some 205x50 R15 or 215x45 R16 - what safe do you think it is in terms of the negative sides mentioned in previous post ?

I don't know but I just got 15x6.5 40mm offset black racing wheels that weight only 13.5lbs!! I'm hoping I will gain performance from these (stock ones are 14x5.5 not sure about the weight).

i have 215/40/17 (on my forenza) with stiffer springs and i think its fine unless i fill the tires w. the max amount of air then its a really stiff ride. I think anything under 35 it would get bad

Dinoc you could visit www.cartuning.ro and call someone from there. They have a catalog that says what rims can u put on your car. My first rims were bought from there. They said me that x,y,z rims will match my car and then I choosed the ones that I prefered and put them on my car. ( Nubira 1). I'm B 68 VLD from...

Sorry for the long delay but the offset on my wheels are +42mm. Go to www.aewheel.com I got the 169 series wheels. Do you guys think 21 lbs. is good weight per rim?

21 Lbs is kinda heavy for aftermarket rims as some rims now weigh like 15-17 Lbs. At any rate, I believe it is an improvement over stock.

So what weight a good aftermarket wheel should have : for instant 15" or 16" ?

Any weight that is less than or equal to the stock Alloys or Steel Wheels that come with the car is OK. If you plan to have a "cruise" car or a show car with chrome rims, I guess weight isn't important, but in my opinion, if you have a car that you either race or drive every day, heavy rims will have a negative impact on acceleration, decceleration, handling, and most importantly, they will lower your gas mileage as the engine will have to work harder to get the mass to rotate. Also, heavy rims might put undue stress on the engine and transmission. I think a good weight (I estimate) for a 15"-16" rim would be about up to maybe 20 lbs a piece. The lower the better.

I hate to mention another webiste but, www.tirerack.com have automatic sizing of rims/tires for lano,nubira and leganza. They also have a generic daewoo that will show different rim styles when you click on them.
