Vertical scratches on the outside of the glass (Forenza).

Post by kroz123 »

A friend of mine had this problem on his Suzuki Forenza and I was wondering if you guys had the same problem with your Forenza, Optra or Lacetti.

He had his windows replaced on his forenza cuz of vertical scratches on the outside of the glass, he was wondering if you guys have experience the same prob. His did it on three windows, driver and passenger were the worst though they were about 5 inches long and dead center on the outside you hafta get down on the glass to see them though.

Thanks.

Nope, nothing to report either...

Maybe they were not assembled correctly...

Glad they accepted to replace them, sometimes dealers can be fussy to repair on warranty problems they consider as cosmetic.

Keep an eye on this to see if they scratch again this time.

Ya..... I have those too....

During the winter my car window got splashed with a mixuture of sand ice and water.

Somehow the sand got into the rubber wiper on the outside of the window.

I've pressure washed the damned thing a half dozen times but I still can't get all the sand out.

Now I have a half dozen long vertical scratches on the outside of the window.

I'm going to have to put the window down and rub it with a screwdriver with a wet cloth wrapped around it.

I try not to use the window but I keep forgeting to clean the sand out.

I have the same damm scratches. I think it is sand too. Is that something covered under SUzuki's warrenty? Let me know I want new glass? It's pretty sad that the glass is allready scratching, that shoulden't happen for atleast a few years. Am I right?

Wow so I'm not the only one haha... I have the stupid scratches too. Only noticed them after the winter, so they must have been from all the salt and sand on the roads. I don't see why this would happen to our woos when I've never seen it happen to any other cars that my family has owned. :?

I have these scratches on my Optra5 as well. Drivers side window, probably because 99% of the time, I'm the only one in the car. Seemed to be a winter issue for me also, and I can't seem to buff them out. Good luck getting this covered under any kind of warranty, unless you can prove that it is a sub-standard product that does not meet your local regulations.

 My driver side window on my Optra was scratch on 3/4.
Chevrolet don't pay for that.
The window and the whipper cost just 115$ tax. incl.
Probably sand during the winter they said to me. :!:
