Need Help - problems with installing springs!!
i brought my b+G springs to someone that i know that said he would put them in for me. He said that he could not get the bottom of the strut apart and didnt know what to do about it. Maybe i could use a torch or something to get it loose but i dont know what to do other than that....if anyone knows what to do or can show me some pics of what to do it would be great, thanks.
I wish my grass was emo....so it would cut itself

He should be able to answer this for you. I will be changing my springs & shocks soon, but will be driving to to PA to have him show me how.

what part exactly do you want to take off??
my mechanic uses work arrounds to avoid such painfull stuff, on a front shock replacment he took off the struts with the tie rod and control arm still attached to the strut when asked he said this might seem crazy but it is much easyer to do it that way rather than trying to remove the tie rod and the control arm from the strut itself.

Actually removing the tie rod and everything isn't that difficult.mmamdouh wrote:what part exactly do you want to take off??

I wrote a very descriptive how-to.

i went through the how to... i guess the mechanic was avoiding removing the ball joints... you see our mechanics don't use special tools to remove a baal joint... they just use a big ass hammer and beat the hell out of the joint to get it off... apparently this will be hard to do on the lower joint and will use much effort.
he didn't remove the ball joint of the control arm and removed the whole control arm instead and for the tie rod... he removed the whole rod out of the steering rack, at least you won't have to reallighn your wheels that way
