Looking at new wheels

Post by CHNDROSE »

I found a nice design that I like and am considering getting four rims. I would keep my current tires until they wore out and then maybe go with something a bit wider like 205s.

Anyway, the Tire Rack, has the ASA J6 15x7 with a 4-114 bolt pattern for $99 each. The tires are almost 20 lbs each.

I, however, do not know much about the different manufacturers and this is my first time shopping for such an item. Any feedback would be great.

I own an 05 Suzuki Reno S in black.

Here are the wheels:

I have an Optra 5 which is the same as the new Reno so we both have the same offset and bolt pattern.

Go to http://www.centerlinewheels.com

Enter into the "wheel deals" area and pick a Honda Accord 4 bolt pattern for the search ( or you can pick 4 X 4.5" in the other section)

The 18" rims I ordered ( Excell 10 spoke ) were $159 USD each and they weigh around 15lbs each.

I picked some mirror polish rims since I like chrome looking wheels on black... but they have other finishes as well.

I'm going with 215/35/18 Toyo T1-S tires ( if I can find a good deal )

These wheels at centerline are really decent and ultra light.... the wheel deals are usually discontinued rims or overstock items.

Normally these rims would sell for $350 to $500 depending on where you go so the price is just awesome.

My friend had these rims on his Accord. He never complained about them, and they did look pretty cool. He now sold the car and got a WRX.

The Piranha wheels look good on that site, I wish they had the same utility as the Tire Rack to see how they would look on the car.

Weight is not that big of an issue, she's not going to be a racer.

Much to think about...

Thanks for the feedback so far. :)
