how are the front hub/bearings are put together?

Post by Aneab »

I was just wondering if anyone can explain how the hub/bearings are pushed in, I'm switching the hubs in my 99' for the ones in the newer Nubira(I like having lug nuts, not lug studs). I did manage to get one off of a car in the junk yard, and it fits and works correctly, but I would like to redo the bearings/bushings inside. Any suggestions?

The procedure is well explained (better than I can do) in the "FRONT SUSPENSION" section of service manual.
Here is a link valid for 5 days: http://demo.ovh.com/en/6613371192f20ae1 ... 1c174f7e8/ .
You'll need some pullers to remove/install hub & bearing.
I'm afraid that by removing the hub the bearing is shot.
