How to change shock absorber Daewoo Lanos ha?

Post by bathuu »

Hi guys,
I'm a quite newbie for car and stuff. I'm just wondering is it easy to change shock absorbers? Because ride has been quite harsh lately and don't have an extra money to pay for a mechanic besides cost of absorbers. So if it is possible for my Lanos hatch, I wanna do it myself. Can you guys tell me or put a guide for changing this part. Also is there bad or good shockies that I need to watch out when buying.
Cheers

Hi,
I've only done once on a VW Polo so I can't help you here but you may download the service manual for your Lanos.

BUT! Take extreme care if you have to compress and remove suspension springs as this can be LETHAL if improperly done. Believe me.

Thanks for reply Daniel,
I got a user manual for my Lanos, but there's not much on changing shockies and struts. So I'm hoping to find some infos from experienced drivers in forum.

the rear are very easy

front will require spring clamps and some physical effort but it is not impossible to do
