suspension question
Hello to everyone, i have a 2000 nubira wagon, and i think that my front suspension is bad since the new tires i bought are worn very badly right below the bottom cup that hold the spring on the strut and everytime i go over even a medium sized bump on the road it sounds like the suspension bottoms out and the tire rubs. no the question i have is that can i replace the shock on the middle of the strut or is the spring worn out or do i have to replace the whole sunit (shock, strut and spring?) any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: suspension question
odds are your shock absorber is busted and this is why your springs decompress to the point it makes a banging sound... the shock absorber and the strut is one part... you only take off the spring and replace the remainder of the assembly
