Spring Clamps - Has anyone used these ???

Post by LanosAus »

Has anyone used or currently using spring clamps on there Lanos ???

The detials of what they are is below, i got this off a Daewootech online store.

Your feeback would greatly help me.

--Spring Clamps--

Cant afford to buy a set of 300 sport springs, dont go and cut your shocks!!! daewoo isnt too much around for some OEM replacements if you cut them wrong. so better yet, get a set of spring clamps, they simply pinch your springs toghether to lower it about 1 coil or about 1-1.5 inches. I personally have this ony my lanos, and it looks just as good as lowering springs without that annoying bouncy bouncy hunduhs have with springs. my spring clamps have lasted over 2 years so far.

Now you can either buy full sets or half a set
-Half Set comes with 4 clamps, enough for 2 wheels
-Full Set Comes 8 clamps, enough for one whole car
Cheers! Evan

I saw those and read the same thing ... and all I could think was:
"What happens if you are driving along and suddenly one breaks? One wheel of your car suddenly pops up 2 inches!

I had a set of them and they broke. Nothing bad happened but I wouldn't waste my money on them. Just buck up and get a set of Eibach springs. :)

You should be able to get those clamps for MUCH less than $80 in your local auto parts store.

You heard right NO BUY THEM. Buy a good set of spring, you can find them from 150.00 or more. No pay mora than 200.00 w\o shipping. No waiste your money in those clamps. Make a good choise and pay a bit more for quality springs.

I also say get a good set of springs.

Today I saw the same complete clamp set in Auto Zone for $7.98 ... MUCH less than the $80 he is asking on that web site.
