Smoke window vent shades installed - PICS!

Post by TheGreatAndPowerfulOz »

I ordered WeatherTech window vent shades from www.jcwhitney.com for $49 because I was tired or rain dripping in on me when I opened the windows a little.

They are made in Germany and fit absolutly perfectly! They look great, too. Best of all, they do not use an adhesive strip to stick to the outside of the door like some brands of weather vents do.
Since it was raining today, I tried them and they really do keep the rain from dripping all over the inside of the car, plus they reduce the wind draft. :)

I was able to get pics when the rain stopped for a little while today.
Here they are:

They slide up into the groove where the glass fits and then they snap into place. I didn't think they would fit very tightly, but they are actually rather dificult to remove with the window down, and they are locked in place when the window is rolled up. No one is going to take them without breaking them off, which would be hard because they are tough plastic.

Here is the graphic from their web site:

And if anyone is interested, here is the link to order them:

I spraypainted mine the colour of my Lanos, deep bluish green. Kinky result I would say!
