I have an'04 Optra5 and I can't find #@*#@! for parts aftermarket! I did manage to find a set of performance Rotors from a shop in Ottawa, but I can't seem to find a set of good quality pads to match! Nice for the shop to sell the Rotors, but not the pads! Any help would be great...

Found brake pads, I've actually used up about three sets of them before my BBK and was really happy with them....def the best pad I've ever ran on the street for all around performance without too much dusting and rarley heard any noise from them.
Price will probably be around $85 for a front set....doesnt look like they have rear pads but I'm checking into it.
Thanks! I managed to find a set today after some poking around the city...they are made by EuroRotors. They are called F1 Friction pads. Here is the URL if anyone esle is interested. They can also be bought at www.parts-direct.ca, but the direct link to the rotors and pads are: http://rawauto.com/AcesData5.cfm. The rotors were $51 a piece for the front and $37 a piece for the back. The pads were around $50/set I think. I was going to get them drilled at KVR Performance, but I have heard in many forums that drilling or drilled/slotted rotors for street and light performance is not really necessary, so I decided not to. I might take my old ones, which aren't too bad that they can't be turned and get them turned, make a template and drill them myself with a titanium bit and a chamfer tool, which I have both (and a decent drill press). I read a few forums about guys taking and making a template out of cardstock and a compass (to make sure the measurements will match the fins in the rotor and balance correctly), and transferring the template to the rotor and drilling them out. I'm not wasting money on destroying new rotors, so why not, eh?

Yeah I've seen those around and aren't very wild about those pads.
The price was right and I don't do any street racing...just need them to last for a bit. Had them on the car for a couple days now and they're quiet and smooth so far...we'll see how they wear.
