torque converter meets the starter.

OK picture this you buy a daewoo and your going to get a spare engine, with the car safety inspected and everything fixed. I thought it was a good idea. Then when i was cruising down a dirt road my car stalls and it won't turn over. Seized engine right. nope the casing on the starter was blown up, i couldn't figure it out. I looked down at the engine and transmission and i see a ground wire sticking inbetween the engine and the transmission. With a huge gap near the starter. What do you guys think happened its a automatic. I think the starter wasn't in line with the ring gear and the big gear was close to the starter casing which blew it up when i hit a bump. The casing that keeps the motor centered. I bought a new starter but still won't work. The gear on the starter isn't lined up right, and it gets stuck. The crank pulley it is really hard to turn. I heard a rubbing noise and it looks like the ring gear for the strter is rubbing on the engine, am I fucked or what??????

Perhaps it's just a heavily warped (or loose) flex plate.....sounds pretty bad..... you'd have to pull it apart in order to see what's going on.

well i tore it apart because I hydrolocked my car and i had to clean out the intake but the starter was going in crooked so I am fine now. My car started up after being hydrolocked smoked a bit because i fogged it out but it is running fine now.!!!
