Question about a part.

I looked up some parts on DaewooUS.com, while i'm trying to replace some damaged parts by hard driving... and while i was looking for a transmission oil pan i found a part named "PAN-OIL, T/A" it's part number is 08685184, however i can't find the part anywhere in the Nubira manual... on the automatic transmission page it shows the diagram, gives the part numbers but when it's counting the parts it skips number 44 in the manual for that page. #43 on that page is the gasket for the transmission, and #45 is the "Pan-Kit" which comes with both Oil pan, and gasket... so i was wondering what that was, and if it's the part that i need...

I know i need a pan-kit which comes with gasket and pan, but they don't sell those together anymore i guess, so if the part i'm wondering about is the actual pan, then i'm all set... If not i've got some more searching to do... I'd give you a link to the manual page so you would know more of what i'm talking about but daewootech.net is no longer giving out access without a password to the manuals...

I'll get a picture of what i'm talking about soon..

im pretty sure that the nubi hasthe gm 4t40e transmission in it. if it does than you can go to a junk yard and getone from a cavalier or mailbu that is there, its the same transmission

most of the pull a part places around here take out the engine/tranny... And then sell them as seperate units and wont part out just the pan... I've already looked into almost every junkyard that i could find that had a daewoo about it... Even the ones that don't let you pull them yourself...

They see it as, they can make more money on the whole transmission than just that single pan.

then geta brand new one for a standard 4t40e transmission from autozone, its the same pan as the cavaliers and malibu

Thats a good point i didn't think about that... forgot autozone would have them...

It was quite annoying calling all those junk yards and visiting others... although i found a nubira with a complete set of tan leather interior in good condition... mmmm
