VAUXHALL Vectra rotor size/bolt pattern

Post by kinkyllama »

Does anyone know if any of the vectras with the 4stud bolt pattern came with the 288mm brakes? So far I've only found the 4studs with 256mm brakes or smaller. When the 288mm brake rotors I've seen all have 5stud so far.

Or does anyone know of a good site that lists the bolt pattern for vauxhal/opel vectra?

as far im aware the biggest 4 stud is the 256 mm, you need to do the same conversion tom did with the 288 from saab

Thanks. Thats what I thought. Yeah I'm asking Tom about them right now, the problem is they need to be drilled and audacity thinks thats very unsafe and they wont last.

I did about about 5000 KM with those rotors, with no apparent niegative issues. Keep in mind mine were drilled to 4X100 pattern. And yes, just like Efrain said, this is a very popular conversion on the other side of the pond.

What kind of shop should I look into to have them drilled?

Industrial machine shop, or CNC shop. A few people over at Mig drilled to rotors themselves, but if you want to try that yourself, first practice on your old rotors.

How much did they charge you for two rotors?

Also, if the calipers for the saab fit on your car then do our cars have the same design(since Chris is pretty sure they fit the optra as well). One last thing, do you know if the rear rotors/calipers fit?

bump.

I got qouted 5 hours for the bolt pattern to be drilled and hubcentric rings for the rotors at $100/hr. Thats $500!

Thats a rip-off. The CNC machine shop I took them into, charged me 45 minutes labour (dont recall hourly charge, but round the same), including making the ring inserts. And I paid $20 for the shop materials....

looking at the vectras around my area i thaught they were 5 stud patterns. Any ways, i know that if you want to convert to 5 x 114.3, DBA make 330m cross drilled rotors that are designed for ford falcons. Dunno if theyd fit, but they have the same stud pattern as a leganza

indeed. i recently made a rapid prototype for a guy making his 4 lug toyota to a 5 lug... cost him a little over 1700 in casting and machining fees... not worth it at all
