Nubira Flywheel

Were I can find a Nubira flywheel for a manual trany?
If some body know, PLEASE, I need it for my 2.0 swap to a Lanos Sport..

You are better off getting flywheel from 88-90 Pontiac Lemans GSE (must be 2.0 NOT, I repeat, NOT 1.6), and clutch kit for it. This will save you about 5-7KGs (11-15.5 lbs).. go to www.car-parts.com for a used one.

you might end up with idle problems if you dont have a piggyback to compensate. you never know how the nubi's ecu will handle it. just a food for tought.

it depends. no one is sure how the woo will act with almost half is stock flywheel weight(well maybe when i am done

). if you want to go light, i suggest that you get an safc just in case. my believe is that the nubi has an heavyer flywheel so that the fuel can be lean out at idle for emmisions.

So what is the advantage of a lighter flywheel in a Lanos? What effect does it have on the whole thing?

Johnny, the thing is that I have a 2.0 engine swap ready to make, because the 1.6 flywheel does not fit the holes of the 2.0 engine I have to buy a Manual trany Nubira Flywheel and clutch kit to make it fit to my 1.6 Manual Trany. Debo890 told me to by the Pontiac Lemans ones instead of the Nubi. Nubira2.2 told me that lighter Flywheel will afect the Torque (will be less) on my engine. I don't know if that correct or no but my sense told me to buy the nubi one.

Quicker engine response, rev drops, should be more power

with a lighter flywheel, you will loose some torque(very little depending on the extent of lighten).

light flywheel = faster acceleration, quicker rev dorps and increase, needs slightly more power to get going from a stop.
heavy flywheel = slower acceleration, slower rev drops and rise, need little power to get moving from stop.

which one do i want?

it depends all on choice.

heavy flywheel = drag racing, lower rpm to lunch (to prevent excessive wheel spin).

light flywheel = autocross, track, short track, faster acceleration out of conners, higher rpm to lunch.

a light flywheel will act like you did a major weight reduction on you car. only downside is the extra hp required to get going.
revs dropping? i think if you shift right, that will not be a problem.

the choice is up to you.

do you want a draglike car or autocrosslike car?
