brake pad question

Post by SickDrift »

OK, what pads are out there for the leganza that will be available over the counter? A set that will not have to be ordered, that are better than stockers.

Over the counter and better than stock...good luck.

I went with regular Bendix semi-metallic pads for the Lanos (same as Leganza) and was overall displeased. It looks like they're made of solid chunks of lead rather than "semi-metallic", so you really have to mash the pedal to get the desired stopping force. You don't lose out on any stopping force, but the light to medium braking is lacking, which can get annoying in traffic or fast stops. I was on the verge of replacing them, but since the green Lanos is no longer my daily driver, I'll just put it off.

I say, if you aren't going to upgrade your rotors, simply go to your Daewoo dealership and pay $50 for the OEM pads. You'll be glad you did.

actually if you do a search for the ebc green stuff you can order them and I have the exact part number in one of my post because the later model lanos and the leganza use the same model. :) hope that helps you out.

I also have a woo lasagna, and my brake pads and rotors are coming fedex tomarrow to my door. They were 185$ for all 4 zinc plated drilled and slotted rotors with all the Posi Quiet ceramic pads that are rated well. I had to pay 50 for shipping cause it weighs 53 lbs lol but, none the less... tomarrow will be the day, my daewoo stops like it should.
