how the hell do you service this, change oil and anythig else that would need doing.
all books i see send me to daewoo service centre.

The Daewoo transmissions never need a transmission fluid change, it says so in the owner's manual. I was forced to do one because my transmission pan gasket was ultra leaky. It did more harm than good. The jerking is just now beggining to wear off.

I went to 180,000 miles without one without a single tranny issue. So chances are, you'll never need one.

Same as my car. I took it to Firestone today it cost me $99 to flash the tranny. Plase notice that not all Firestone centers will work on it. Some of them are coming up with different lame excuses.

Let me know if you need more details.

Note:
Removing the tranny pan drains only 1-2 quarts out of ~15 that are in there.

No, simply removing the pan drains about 7-8 quarts out of the 12 that should be there.

What some people recommend doing if you don't have a leaky pan gasket is to simply remove the lower hose on the AT cooler, turn the car on and allow the fluid to leak out as you add new fluid. You stop when clean fluid starts exiting.

I recommend just leaving it alone, you'll be fine for well past 150,000 miles.
