Leganza with AT, power mode not working

Post by kuba35 »

On my 2002 Leganza with AT transmission power mode stopped working . Transmission still shifts ok but I'm wondering what might of happened.

Another issue with my Leganza is a fuel gauge. With full tank of gas gauge shows only 3/4 . Did daewoo ever find a fi x for the fuel gauge miss reading problem ?
thx. Tom

Yeah, my Power mode button doesn't work too all of a sudden. Did you find out why? My car is falling apart..... my mirror defoggers don't work anymore.... the air direction control.... air recirculation......

It seem something internal breaks after every oil change.... [/quote]

The pwr light comes on during the on switching so buld isn't burnt out. The switch doesn't change the setting to power mode.... I have like 1/4th of a tank of fuel left. I hope Daewoos switch power mode off when there is less fuel.... Do you know if this is true or am I screwed?

The power button only changes the shift pattern to shift more agressivly; it does not change the air/fuel mixture.
The car will not use more fuel when the power button is not working.

power mode control light / no power mode

Power mode finally works on my Woo. During the air bag service visit at the Daewoo dealer Air bag Module located under the shifter was inspected, careless technician ript the wire that is going from the shifter to the computer. I repaired the broken connection and everything is working ok.

Everyone is refering to the power button on the shift knob right? What does that button do?

Power button only modifies program of ECM (electronic control module). If your Power lamp lighs on for approx. 4 sex after ignition and only do not turn on when power button is depressed (ECM characteristics do not change either) possible cause is malfunction of pf PWR button or wires connecting it with ECM.
