reluctor rings

hi room, im having problems with my abs, so i examined the front sensor and noticed it was very worn on the tip
seemed a bit odd for a non contact component also the toothed ring is stepped along the edge actually so is the other one
should they be like that or have they worn away?

nope... this is a common issue with ABS on those cars... no idea why it happens but it does

the sensor is fairly easy to replace but the ring is a part of the CV joint so you would have to replace it
