transmission leak... help!

Post by joshyt »

i own a 2000 Lanos SX automatic trans.. i just bought it from a guy, it runs great shifts good... i checked the trans fluid and notice that it was low, according to the owners manual the fluid should be at the top where the cap is on top... now my problem is when i fill the transmission up, after i let it run the hose that comes out of the top of the cap start pouring out and gets all over the place.. i know this is a breathing hose but why does the transmission come out of it? please help me find a solution, i don't like driving it while this is going on...

thanks!

if this is the same problem as the other post, please keep it together.

i know on the manual, the vent forms part of a bolt. is it possible the bolt is not tight?
if it is tight then the vent plug is more than likely stuffed
