99' Daewoo Leganza 2.2L Auto CV Bot

Post by teteous1 »

Hi guys,

just a quick question.

I need to replace my Right-Hand CV-boot, repack it and put new clamps on.

My problem lies when trying to purchase new boots in AUS no-one stocks them, so I need to know the inner and Outer diameters of the Outer boot.

Would anyone be able to help me here? I cannot seem to find the dimensions anywhere.

Thankyou,

Teteous.

where did you look?

i just plugged in "leganza cv" into ebay and got 6 in Australia and 58 overseas

with our dollar so good, there should be no hesitation in buying US parts and if you can wait a week or 2...

Thanks for the reply,

But i was just looking for the CV Boot itself, as I dont need the joint.. But all the local places don't stock the OEM Daewoo boots, or have the dimensions,

So just wanting to know if anyone knows the inner and outer dimensions for the Outer boots.

In my experience 95% of the time when you try to just replace the CV boot it ends up leaking again.

I typically just replace the entire half-shaft. That way there's no worries about any debris that may have gotten into the boot and messing up the CV.

I replaced the boot, clamps and grease.

Cost around $18 AUS dollars.

Took around 1 hour 30mins to disassemble, replace parts and reassemble.

I used these really stretchy boots which didnt require the shaft to be taken apart, great product.
