transmission will not shift into gear

hello all, after a engine swap in my 2001 daewoo leganza cdx, everything worked fine before the swap, when I shift into r,d,2,1 the rpms shift like its getting ready to take off but nothing happens... fluid levels are fine, axles are in, shift linkage is turning..... is there any electrical selonoids or sensors that could be bacd? if so where would they be located at? also with the engine running I have removed the top tranny coolant line on the radiator and there is no fluid making it there (not sure if that matters) please help I want to drive my car
