I'm pretty sure I got everything, except getting the damn hub off once that 32mm bolt is taken off. I've BFH it and it's not moving....so what bolts am I missing?
Getting that 32mm bolt off was ridiculous btw. I used my long torque wrench and had to stand on the end of it and jump 10 times before it even started moving.
As soon as I get these hubs off I'm going to pull the engine and tranny oh this is concerning the lanos
you might have to disconnect the lower ball joint and swing the strut out, i know that when i was doint the struts on the red lanos (auto tranny) my passanger side litteraly fell out of the tranny, scared the shit out of me i thought i broke something.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that. I disconnected the lower ball joint and sway bar and still couldn't get the lower ball joint out. I used a fork pry thing and stood on it jumping and it wouldn't come apart. I figured there was something extra I had to do like maybe jack up the strut so it isn't drooping?

Okay. So it should just pop off then? As long as I know I'm not missing anything I'll get more aggressive. A few of the bolts on this lanos are stuck on like crazy. The caliper allen bolts had so much resistance the whole way out I had to use a BFH.
Okay everything except the strut itself is unbolted and neither the spinlde or lowerr ball joint are budging. I stood and jumped on the fork pry to get the lower ball joint out and it's not moving. I've tried jacking up the strut so it wasn't drooping all the way. I've tryed prying the spinle off and hitting it countless times with full force with my BFH. Nothing is budging...??
do you have air tools handy? how about an air chisel? how about a propane torch? I'll come back to that in a minute...
what you need to do is thread the castle nut back onto the lower ball joint but just enough for the nut to be flush with the threads, you'll do the same with the axle nut.
use a propane torch to heat up the steering knuckle at the ball joint but try not to heat up the ball joint.
once the steering knuckle is hot use a small to medium sized ballpeen hammer to rap on the steering knuckle. do this all the way around it, your just trying to vibrate it loose so you should have to get crazy.
now (if it hasn't come loose) use that medium sized hammer to hit the top of the ball joint (not the control arm) everything should come loose now.
once that is done you can pull back on the knuckle and with the axle bolt threaded in use a larger hammer to hit the end of the axle shaft. it will come loose pretty easy.
for everything that a hammer is used for here an air chisel can be used as well, less work involved.

I got one side...haven't tried the other yet. I set up the torch to blow on it without heating up the wrong parts and just left it there while I worked on something else for like 20mins. I kept spraying WD40 in it to keep it slippery. I still had to hit it really hard with the hammer tons of times but I did get it. Now It won't come out of the tranny but I didn't try too hard.
