I have seen some SAAB '94 900's and a couple of 9-3's that had 288mm 4 stud rotors in the junkyard on a recent trip. They were base spec SAABs I believe, N/A 2L engines. It may be worth looking at a SAAB EPC if you can (or get one off ebay).

I have the fronts from a Leganza in my car.... they look nearly identical so I was going to pull my suspension apart and see how they fit when I get a chance.

I will keep you guys posted once I get around to the conversion.

I know this isn't exactly related to the thread but the answer is yes.... it looks like the fronts of the Leganza (5 X 114.3) will fit onto the Forenza (4 X 114.3)

Of course the Leganza also had 256mm disks so it doesn't really help in getting 288mm rotors.

But my thought is that if the Leganza and Optra share the whole front hub/knuckle/rotor/caliper assembly then odds are there are multiple vehicles using this assembly.

At some point I will dig up the Leganza rears and compare them to my Optra 5 parts.... as it wouldn't make much sense to change to a 5X114.3 pattern up front and leave the back ones at 4X114.3

Please, keep me updated. It wouldnt hurt to go to 5lug, hell its much easyier to find good deals on used 5x114.3 than 4x114.3

Another alternative would be to simply grind off the factory lug bolts and have it redrilled to 4 X 100.... there are lots of cars (such as civic and lanos ) with that pattern.... and the lanos/forenza hubs are identical.... which is almost exactly the same as a civic hub ( 0.5mm difference )

If I get time I will check the compatibility on the rears tommorow.

That would not be a bad idea.. although I'd have to get a new spare. Also I rather not switch things around like that if I can avoid it.

If it ever comes through, I have someone looking into making wilwood big brake kit for the stock forenza. They sure are taking there time though.

Hi Kinky,
This site might help, I used to use it alot when I was modifying my Vauxhall. They should be able to point you in the right direction. (They also Turbo N/A Engines, so they could probably help you with that too!)

Hope that helps you out!
