clean it, inside and out...

~drain brake fluid
~remove caliper
~remove pads from caliper
~remove brake lines from caliper
~use "brakleen" or similar brake cleaning solution (fast drying, instant degreasing). Spray all over outside, wipe away junk. spray all over piston area, wipe away junk.
~hang caliper by a piece of wire (like a coat hanger or some thin electrical wire) in a tree or by the cieling in the garage.
~place brake cleaner tube (the red one attached to the can) inside the brake line fitting, squirt until full... and allow to drain. repeat several times (atleast 4)

when it comes to cleaning the pistons, you may want to spray the cleaner several times on the outside (as in, where the pad sits).

~reinstall, add new pads/fluid, bleed, drive

Is this something i coulde have a brake shop do or no? My Dad wants me to have it done so we get this problem out of the way, since its cheaper to fix it once so i dont keep missing track days and burning through brake pads

yeah...

but it's kinda like going to the dealership to get an air-freshener...

seems like over-kill to me to pay for labor for something you can take care of in an hour's time

wouldn't it be better to fix your brakes from an everyday safety standpoint than to spend an entire day at a track event?

8) it doesn't matter if you go to a shop, it's just a waste of money is all

Well i just decided to have my calibers rebuilt. Plus the guy at the brake shop (i trust them.. they're a reliable and good shop for racers) told me that cleaning them most likly wouldnt help my problem if its sticking cuz the dirts probably already to far up in it and whatnot to really help. See there rebuilding the calibers and flushing out the brake fluid for $250. I dont really care.. i dont have time to work on it anyways and i keep getting backed up with projects plus my Dads paying for it.

thanks again guys!

I just had my brake fluid flushed.. maybe 2k miles ago at the most and since then ive only had like 20miles on the track (bout 30mins). The shop asked if i wanted it flushed again and we looked at the fluid and WOAH it was VERY VERY dirty. How could it get dirt so fast?

I've got the same problem at the moment, my front right pad is GONE. Apparently the left one is well on its way too. So maybe it's just the pads were shitty, or something's funky. Either way, I've gotta get the discs machined; there's massive grooves in it cause metal on metal braking for about a week now (I'm broke).

Hopefully it'll be covered under the warranty they gave me when they did the repairs; it's been like 15,000kms absolute tops, and the pad is fucking gone. So I don't wanna pay for this.
