More bad news CV

Post by jl4n3 »

Okay, after reassembling my Break Switch I decided to look under my hood while my Nubira 01 was running.

I looked on the driverside CV joint on the inner part of the assembly and it was wobbling...other side was not...bad CV? Possibly the Front motor mount (Which I am almost sure is bad)? I also hear a slight noise sounds like really tiny tiny bearings that may be wore out...like a faint "rattle".

Any Ideas???

Does it rattle/squeel going from lock to lock/turning whilst driving?

Was the whole shaft wobbling or just the cv joint? by the sounds of it it is a cv joint that's gone from what you've said

Umm...the rattling noise is so faint that it can not be heard in the cab while driving although I to hear a noise fairly similar to when my wheel bearing went out, but I know its not the wheel bearing because it does not get any louder or change when i turn or anything...it almost sounds like a slight exhaust leak but its not. When looking at it from above the engine compartment though, it was rattling and shaking.

When you say whole shaft do you mean the entire cv assembly?

I wasnt sure what you mneant by the inner assembly was wobbling.

Do you mean inner side [gearbox side] of the shaft, or actual inners of the cv joint?
