Step 1.
Go to www.gm-car-parts.com and purchase a new flywheel
Step 2.
Send flywheel for lightening from a REPUTABLE SOURCE (not White Machine in Kingsport, please)
Step 3.
Go to www.eclutchmaster.com and purchase a new clutch kit
Step 4.

99 Lanos is having the same flat style flywheel as Aveo if I am not wrong.
I am not sure whether the Fidanza Cobalt SS Flywheel will fit. Since its also flat style with 6 bolts hole and one smaller positioning hole at the center.
There are 3 X 3 holes spread across the edges of the flywheel to bolt onto the clutch cover.
Anyone can verify whethe the ecotec 2.0 liter engine flywheel can be use on ecotec 1.6 engine?
Its only 7.5 lbs for the Fidanza Flywheel.

Aveo 1.7M DOHC
Tbh im not sure whether the blocks are the same size but some of the smaller gm engines have smaller blocks than a 2.0.
Just thinking about you might be able too, what gearbox do you have? I used the f16 from a Nexia/Cielo/Racer/Lemans and it was a 1.5 16v. I used the clutch out of the 1.5 but the flywheel of the 2.0 i think.. can't even remember that far back in all honesty lol
Your biggest problem could be the pcd of the bolt holes on the 2.0 one

My gearbox should be D16 or Y4M. Not sure which one. I know US one is D16.
Because my car is a 1.4DOHC (77.9mm bore X 76.5mm stroke). US version is 1.6DOHC (79mm bore X 81.5mm stroke).
So some of the parts may be different. But I believe its largely the same. Although mine is a Right Hand Drive.

Anyone knows which picture has the same flywheel as the lanos/Aveo. I head Aveo has 135 teeth and 6 holes in the middle and is flat style, not pot style with square knobs for bolting with clutch cover. These are Opel/Vauxhall steel billet light weight flywheel I found.
For X16XE 4.675kg (this one I counted have 135 teeth, nearest I found but then it is not flat style, its pot style)
For X25XEL V6 6.665kg flat type ( looks compatible with aveo clutch cover with the 9 hole at the circumference, but its 8 hole bolts instead of 6)
For Z20LET 5.85kg Pot Type
For C20LET 5.81kg Pot Type
For C20XE 5.48kg flat type

The 2.0L and 1.6L flywheels are the same.... for a lightweight version you might want to try a Pontiac Lemans which normally comes with a 1.6L SOHC... which has the flat style flywheel (which is way lighter than the pot style)
I wouldn't lighten the flat style any further.... it's allready very light and will give very fast throttle response.... and you risk having it self destruct and destroy your engine/transmission/car body, hood, fenders..... and of course yourself.
Clutches are easy to find (both stock and aftermarket) as you will need the pressure plate to fit the flat style instead of the pot style.
The F16/D16/F20/D20 are all compatible with the standard 6 bolt flywheels from the 1.6L engines and 2.0L Ecotec engines.
The 8 bolt flywheels from the LET and XE won't work ( different crank )
Yes, the 1.6L is a small block and the 2.0L is a big block but the crankshafts have the same bolt mounting pattern.
