P0758 Code...what exactly is it?

I have a scangauge and trapped a P0758 Shift Solenoid B Electrical code. But the car seems to run normally, (I cleared the code with the scangauge) and now I am wondering what exactly does this code indicate? What is the shift solenoid B electrical and how bad is this code to deal with? I have searched google and got next to nothing except the code reference itself. But what is this shift solenoid thing and what does it do?
