F28 and F40 questions

Post by kinkyllama »

Can you guys give me all the info you know on the tranny?

I know it'll bolt right onto my car. I know its not found in the US of Canada... and i know its gear ratio, which is why im looking into it. I know its 4x4 and needs to be converted to FWD, how do you do that?

Exactly how much power can it handle stock?

My biggest question though is what were the differences between years and cars?

and ANY info on the F40 would be great

to convert it... you have to make a cover plate for the rear output on the transfer case and usually they weld or disable the transfer differential so it's solid

F28 also came in the Calibra.

I dunno.. i've heard only one thing ever about the F40; I think Chris mentiond it. I think its a newer version of the F28 for the z20let engines.
