Difference between F16 and D16

Post by bluecube »

Hey. I am just wondering what exactly is the difference between the F16 and the D16? I know the F16 uses a clutch cable and the D16 is hydraulic. Is one better than the other? If anyone could give me some more info it would be great!

as far as i know, both hydraulic and cable systems are interchangeble (dont know if its spelled right)

Also the D16 is said to be a bit stronger on the main input shaft, this is because the F16 has a way to change the clutch without taking out the tranny and that involves some moving parts around the main input shaft.

My daewoo mechanic told me about that, im one of those persons that doesnt believe something until it sees it. Well i havent seen a D16 appart. But i take his word on it.
