Bleeding brakes with ABS

Post by panther »

I plan to bleed my brakes using a gunson ezibleed kit and replace the entire system with new fluid. The ABS pump has 2 bleed valves one at each end, can these be bled in the usual way or does it need to be conected at the main woo dealers to operate the ABS pump?

Forgot to say it's a Lanos 1.4 8v, UK spec.

You can't bleed the ABS pump with the Gunson. You just let it be. Sorry about that. I try not to mess around with the ABS pump. Anyway the fluid volume is small.

Ok thanks. As the fluid is old I was going to replace the whole system with fresh brake fluid. Will it make any difference by leaving old fluid in the ABS?

if you check the manual found in the general section, it explains the steps for bleeding the system (ABS and non-ABS). it also explains the fluid replacement process :D
