01 Lanos Auto to Stick Project

Post by exiledlanos »

Yeah, I made the mistake of Buying an auto for fear of not knowing how to drive a stick, since I drove a friends 5speed mustang though, Im hooked... Cant afford a new car, Got friends that can do a tranny swap, however We all lack Daewoo parts knowledge.
My Parts list consists of

the 5 speed Tranny
The Linkage
The clutch pedal and cabling
Computer from a 5 speed lanos

I need to know what eles I need to add to this list. Im getting parts from Junkyards to save money. Anyone who has attempted this or might be able to give some advise would be helpfull. Thanks
! Is that a Civic? No...
! Is that a BMW? No...
What is that???

You should also add a flywheel, pressure plate and the clutch.

Keep in mind that an auto-to-stick conversion makes quite an advanced swap, so make sure you do know what you are doing.

i did the auto to manual swap when i had my 1.5 ohc...

you may also need complete CV joints/axels... since the axels are larger in the manual version

Hey... I live only about 15 miles from that place!! You live in Colorado too?

750 bucks huh?

I'd haggler a little. Too bad not too many Daewoo's around otherwise you could haggle alot.
