chevy OPTRA 1.8LT HOLD indicatator lamp is blinking

Post by rspadua »

hi guys i need ur help on this,
I owned a chevy optra 1.8A/T engine 4hp-16 for 5months it only went 16000miles, by the way the story goes like this, everyday i always travel minimum 65miles when i'm in traffic or in a highway suddenly i will hear something engage in the engine probably a shift shock and then the HOLD indicator lamp will blink, sometimes the check engine lamp will also appear. in this situation the car starts to jerk when you push down the pedal nothing is happening no torque and very low acceleration, the feeling is like using a manual transmission when you start running the car from stop using 3rd gear.. what i will do is turned off and on the engine just to reset it but a couple of minutes the hold lamp will blink again.. by the way i already sent the car from the service center a month ago they only changed the ECU/TCM but nothing has happened,i think the problem is the A/T. :!: :( :!: :?:

thanks in advance, your immediate reply is highly appreciated.

That situation sounds like you have a fault with the transmission, likely to be electronic. This what happens when Daewoo leaves Hydramatics and asks the likes of ZF and Aisin to build their trannies. The 1.8 uses the ZF 4HP16.
