? on 2.0 swap.
WHen I swap my 1.6 for the 2.0 this winter do I need the 2.0 tranny. I have a 5 speed. will I need the flywheel for a 2.0 and clutch. will it work with the 1.6 tanny, or is the 2.0 tranny stronger?

I would have to look into the gear ratios between the 1.6 and 2.0..but I'd say your gearbox is a short ratio (good for acceleration, not top speed). 2.0 gearbox (D20) is stronger than D16, but also has higher internal losses due to thicker gears. It is also heavier.
You should be able to use your exisitng flywheel and clutch.

i am confused here... i used to think that longer gear ratios acclerate slower but have higher top speed... am i right??360 Dynamics wrote:D20 would be a good decision (longer gears), should you decide to install turbo
