Q: transmission vent hose

Post by joshyt »

i have a 2000 lanos SX automatic transmission... the fluid cap has a hose that runs out of it... im think that it goes somewhere or has some purpose.. when i fill the trans with fluid while running all the fluid comes out of that hose and goes everywhere... how do i go about fixing this?

is it one of the transmission cooler lines?

what is the location of the hose? is it on the top of the g/box or on the front or back side?

If your looking at the motor from the front, the fill plug is on top to the right of the motor which is top of the transmission or gear box.. And has a hose the runs out of it and sits on top of the fender well

Umm, if it runs out after running, I think you may have overfilled it....
