OPTRA SHIFTER

Post by silver1 »

Does anyone know of a replacement shifter for a 2004 optra with a 5 speed tranny? Also, how much power can the stock tranny handle?

Are you looking for entire shifter, or just the knob? Stock D20 gearbox should hold up to at least 250-275bhp range.

Thanks for the info guys, I am looking for the entire shifter. I havent tried to remove it yet, but I am assuming the shifter knob is screwed on? Am I correct or not?

The knob is not a screw in type. To replace it, in most cases, the original knob need to be removed. You need a special type of a shifter for the Optra.
