What does the HOLD button do in a 1999 Leganza with 2.2L

What does the HOLD button do in a 1999 Leganza with 2.2L

Hey, What does the HOLD button near the shifter do in a daewoo Leganza AUTO. I don't get it :?

Can someone explain how it works, how it functions and what its for and when to use it??!! Im new to the whole Daewoo/Leganza scene:)
I know what the PWR button does and i can say i like that button very much :D !!!

all the hold button does is make the lowest gear 2nd
it doesn't engage 1st gear when setting off, this reduces torque to the wheels

it is mostly used on low traction surfaces such as ice and snow to reduce wheelspin
