the power button changes the shift points, it will make it shift a little bit latter. i personally dont notice any change in the power, if your flooring it its gonna shift late any way.

Its sometimes useful for passing. But it depends on how fast your going...sometimes you feel more of a difference than others

Hey Arvin,

From what i remember reading about it ?
If your in the highest 'drive' gear and you press the power button ? Your tranny will drop down one gear lower.
That way you have a lower gear ratio like for hill climbing. Or passing under some conditions.

You can press the button and the light will go on, BUT ! The transmission will only react under 60 mph.

It's designed so that if you forget to re-set the button after 60 mph ("Power" light still on) an upshift will occur anyway.
So you will always be in the top high gear after that speed even if the light is still on.
By the same token ? If you press the button at any speed over 60 mph? the light will come on but the tranny won't downshift.

This is how I understand the "power button" If i am wrong ? someone will correct me.

:)

I think it will still shift more aggressively even if you are going over 60, because after all the main purpose of the power button is to use it when you are passing at highway speeds.
