where is what??

my car is in Cairo, Egypt.
my engine is in my engine bay.
my cam cover is over my engine head.
the E-TEC is written on the cam cover

the way i see it the E-TEC refers to a series of engine rather than VGIS.

ok lets settle this for the 1,000,000th time. Etech is just a manuf. lingo for the emissions system. the vavle you are showing in the pic is for the VGIS which has nothing, repeat nothing to do with E-TEC. So does everyone understand now? By disengaging the vaccum line you are leaving the long runners used for HP open.
Aveo that moves! Now I need those cams!

No, I don't think E-TECH is conected with diferent intake lenght or whatever, it's just commercial name for series of engine, to be recognized on the market. Like Duratech, ECOtech, Energy and so. Since woo's engine originaly came from GM/Holden, and Opel has ECOtech named engines, Etech or Dtech is prety simmilar with it and still goes in the ear.

Ok... here it is... Some nerd in a car company thought it would make the engine more appealing with some kinda letter with a "tec" at the end... .. there... thats my 2 cents 8) (but i think its a series of the engine..) neways.. i don't really care what it means.. as long as the engine runs.. to hell with it..
