Whats the bolt torque for Lanos Valve Cover?

Hi,i'm about to replace the valve cover gasket on my Lanos 2000.Does anybody knows what is the torque reading for the bolts???

My grandpa always said me one quarter of a turn before it breaks

But from the manual it is 10Nm or 89Lb-in.

Hi Daniel,i don't know what is Nm "you said 10Nm" and 89Lb it feels too much.
I've got a torque wranche that has a scale in kilograms and Lb/pounds/
Are you sure is 89 pounds..???I'm talking about Valve cover ,not the Head Gasket

Hi David74,

Torque is force times lenght. I spoked in Newton*meter and Pound*inches!
I bet the scales on your wrench are in fact m*Kg (or Kg*m) and Lb*foot (or Ft*Lb) and that your wrench is too strong for the job.

89 Pounds = 40.36kg.
1 inch = 0.0254m.

Times both and you get: 1.024mKg.
Same apply for Nm.
