The problem I see is when it is not turned on, then becomes a restriction in the intake, then you need the extra "supercharger powah" to get you back to your original excelleration. :?

and when it is on it will consume all your electrical power... extra strain on the alternator and battry ---> not a good idea at all.

not to get on anyone's case... but this has been talked about a bunch...

and...

one of my classes at school did an expiriment with a hair dryer (with the coils removed) on a briggs and stratton engine, and found it to to use far more power than the engine was capable of producing until it reaches peak rpm

short version...

THESE ARE LAME AND THEY SUCK

There are so many of them on Ebay, and they claim that they will give you up to 20hp

The only one that I think which really works is the Thomas Knight Turbo Electric Supercharger

in NA mode, your car doesn't exactly suck air in  so restriction isn't a huge deal.

that's why you only see a 10hp gain (max) out of intake systems

i didn't understand that??! if the car is not sucking air in N/A mode then what is it doing?

also we emove the resonator to illiminate restriction so i recon a supercharger fan i nthe way of sucked in air can cause restriction... right?

look at the gain from resonator removal... it wasn't very much. i'd be wlling to bet that the sound and knowing you took it out made you think it was more than was actually there

really though... an intake won't give more than 10hp and that's being nice
