Up for Grabs!!

Post by DomWoo »

ok heres the deal, just recently i found out that my g/f's dad has a good freind that owns a junk yard and will let me get what ever i want at no cost or little cost so this is my plan,

i have been planing all along to get a turbo, even before i bought my 2000 lanos SE, my sisters b/f has a turbo saab 900 (tdo4 thinking) and was willing to sell it to me. i know that saab make good dependable turbos and a tdo4 is pumping about 8 psi (nice little boost) but can also pump out up to 18 psi but will shorten the life so...

now that i have a junk yard at my distruction i would like to know what you guys think/recomend i do, im not looking for to much boost because i dont want to blow anything up, so its going to be around 8 - 13 psi

the car right now hasnt had to much done to it, just a (short ram) cold air intake

here are a few photos as of.. i think a month ago

these are my cool led light system that no body else in th world has because i made it my self and dont know how to get it patented or if i should but it is a series of 3 led lights in each head light that do all kinds of shit.. it has somewhere around 300 different patters and speeds

the high school i used to go to has one of hte best metal shops i have ever seen and since i was that class for 3 years the teacher lets me come in and do what i want when i want, so i plan to weld up some headers that will mount right up to the turbo and see how that comes along, and if all else fails ill just do it the moster garage way :D

i dont know to much about turbos, just what i read and have seen so please help me out if you can!

let me know what all i will need to do and get from the junk yard

i could really use the imput

Thanks
James

8-13 psi is a lot for a lanos. You would be safer to stay in the 5psi range till you can get a hold of some forged internals.

An intercooler isn't required, but highly recommended.
