Nubaroo at The Rock raceway 15 may 2011 - 200meter drags!!

Awesome racing at The Rock last night! Best run for the evening was against Leonards Honda Vtec turbo - won the first run but lost the 2nd run......however there was stalks/speculation that he jumped the lights on the 2nd run...???!!!

Next best run I beat a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 - Ran even with him out the blocks launching in 2nd gear and stretched him about 2 - 3 cars in 3rd and 4th gear!

Then I beat a Skyline R34 even futher and a few other cars also got hidings.

The new short ratio F23 gearbox seems to be working too well

Make me some incar videos of the 2nd gear launching, please... Would like to see boost and rpm... Do you release the clutch right on the start, or drive it on clutch slipping through the second gear?

What is top speed for all gears (2, 3, 4)? What is exit speed on 200m?

Yeah 200m is REALLY short so yuo have to get ur shit together....one slightly slow launch or slow gearshift and youve lost!!!

I am running a LUK standard Opel TS pressureplate and a solid centre 6 button clutch.

I am not launching with launch control so boost is a big fat 0....but I do rev the car to the 7500rpm limiter and drop the clutch WHAM with no slipping!!! This puts the car immediately into a massive wheelspin and with a bit of throttle feathering one can keep revs and boost up for maximum traction, and then one has 1 x less gearshift to the line as well


This is the type of clutch I am using, but mine now has 6 x buttons not just 4

Yip bud F23 SRT gearbox with Toyo R888 205/55/15 tires.

Just ran at The Rock again tonite.....all went well for the first 2 x runs launching in 1st gear.....3rd run I launched in 2nd gear and I suspect I destroyed the clutchplate or pressureplate .....will strip and see tomorrow

Hi bud.

Removed the gearbox today - found the copper button clutch "fused" to the pressureplate

Cleaned up the pressureplate and flywheel, redone the clutchplate by my supplier and all is well again

No more 2nd gear launches though - getting tired of repairing the car

Repaired 2 x cracks on the turbo branch - will refit tomorrow and run it again - 2.7bar boost here we come again
