For the past few months the car's been sitting on jackstands after a missifire appeared on cylinder #3.
I went to start it one morning and there it was. A quick check suggested that there was a burnt valve. The engine needs new rings anyway.
A while back ordered some arp headstuds, arp rod bolts, new gaskets/rings kit, new timing belt, new headgasket, all original opel.
Took the head off on wednesday and took it to the shop so my builder takes a good look at it. There we found out that the headgasket went around cylinders #3 and #4, hence the missfire. There was no overheating, no high revs or anything like that. I just assume that is becuase a not original item.
This week we will take the pistons out so we can put new rings on it and the arp rod bolts.
I havent been able to do this simple things because i've been workless for about 7 months, so situation is not good right now, ive been doing freelance jobs and working a local motorsports website called http://www.boostiao.com give it a quick check and let me know what you think about it.
Will be posting all the updates here.
